What PSTs are expected to do during each day of their placement

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education Online (EBECEO)
This course offers professionals working in the early childhood sector the opportunity to upgrade from a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care to a four-year Bachelor qualification by completing a further 2.5 years of study. Graduates will be qualified to teach children from birth to five as a kindergarten teacher.
The three EBECEO placements occur in EDU2ULD, EDU3CAT, and EDU4WBL. Placements should be undertaken on a full-time basis. In exceptional circumstances, placements may be undertaken on an equivalent part-time basis (minimum of three days per week).

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary)
In the Early Childhood and Primary major, PSTs complete five professional experience placements across the degree: two in the second year (in EDU2002 and EDU2004), two in the third year (in EDU3001 and EDU3002), and one in the fourth year (in EDU4007). Placements should be undertaken on a full-time basis. In rare circumstances, placements may be undertaken on a part-time basis for students with Learning Access Plans.

Bachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary)
In the Bachelor of Education Primary, PSTs get experience teaching across all primary curriculum areas. In the Bachelor of Education Secondary, PSTs focus on secondary school students, aged 12 to 18, and develop two curriculum specialisations. PSTs complete five professional experience placements across the degree: two in the second year (EDU2002 and EDU2004), two in the third year (EDU3001 and EDU3002), and one in the fourth year (EDU4007). Placements should be undertaken on a full-time basis. In rare circumstances, placements may be undertaken on a part-time basis for students with Learning Access Plans.

Master of Teaching (Primary or Secondary)
In the Master of Teaching Primary, PSTs get experience teaching across all primary curriculum areas. In the Master of Teaching Secondary, PSTs focus on secondary school students, aged 12 to 18, and develop two curriculum specialisations. PSTs complete three professional experience placements across the degree. Placements should be undertaken on a full-time basis. In rare circumstances, placements may be undertaken on a part-time basis for students with Learning Access Plans.
The first two placements, EDU5013 and EDU5017, may be taken as novice or consolidating placements, depending on the student’s study plan. Ensure that you choose the correct level of placement when selecting from the list below.
